OK, back to a fishing question - I just bought some Berkly, bag and bloodworm. - Now, what would you advise, better to buy a tub and Camo worm?

And I plan to use this in surf, any thoughts?

And.... NeilG has made some constructive input to this forum in his 1700 odd posts! In your 20 posts, the only thing you've convinced anyone of is that you're an Ahole.  You have to be the first person that's annoyed me in years, you obnoxious chop. PS KMA!

Agreed 100%

This oke and'Long John" (Could it be the same whathaveyou?) even had me look at the Sealine rules and particularly those pertaining to personal attacks.

Could they just be jealous of the appreciation Neilg gets for his technical posts?

OK guys,

Lets clear this up.

REVO obviosly loves the reels that I import, and the baits we do have certainly caused quite a stir across the whole world.
If you don't want to learn, its your loss.

By the way I'm the guy who is responsible for just about everything that happens around Berkley in SA it comes out of my warehouse.

I also don't want to argue with anybody, but Dumbberry and NG have said some pretty nasty things about a good friend of mine, as for the use of words like OBNOXIOUS CHOP and PRICK, only a true fool would say things like this.

And wow 1700 posts, don't you guy's have something better to do, like actually catch fish

Ahhhh, so Van The Fisher Man maybe you should start getting some product support going out of your warehouse....

Please elaborate as to why you are not allowed to fish ESA events... I find this rather interesting.... I mean seriously. If anyone reads this thread, what reason do they have to believe they will get any form of quality service from you?

Van The Fisher Man,

None of your posts offer any advise that I can use as a fisherman and as a business man I can't beleive that you could associate the product you sell with the attitude of your posts. I wonder what Berkley would think? I don't revert to name calling but I do know that respect earns respect of which I have none for your comments and know also for the product you represent!

I said pretty nasty things to your friend cause your friend said some pretty nasty things about other people.

we agreed to talk fishing, and if you know so much about soft plastic fishing (and I hope that it won't only be about promoting berkley products - we know they are good and VERY EXPENSIVE) I can't wait to learn more about it from you.

I don't promote ANY product, and don't earn one single cent from ANYTHING I say on this forum. I tell people what I believe works and also what has worked for me. If I believe X is junk I will say so, if I believe it's great I will say so, because I personally believe so.

And another thing, you DON'T NEED SPRINGBUCK colours to be good at fishing (or any other sport), all that it shows is that you do it in a more "organised" environment than most other agnlers. In Fact, the BEST sportsman and women never bother to go competitive (and you know about the politics in organised sport).

But again you bring my name into your "argument".

So I ask you again, are you here to make trouble, promote your products and make the rest look bad or are you here to talk fishing. The products you sell are good, hell I ordered some from your Durban branch about 2 weeks ago, I even posted pics on THIS VERY SITE. You sell good products and not so good products, but they are not the only products.

As to my amount of posts, I make lots of posts cause I help people, I like helping people, is that a problem for you ?

Does it offend you that I have helped a fair amount of people, people that you could have helped and maybe made some money off them ?

Are we gonna keep on "attacking" eachother or are we gonna talk fishing ?

Remember something, I'm not new on the site, you are, I have shown people that I'm all for this site and helping people, you have not ...

Bad impressions last, good ones also, you started bad, why not change and make it good ?

Because since I've joined this forum, all I've had to deal with is guys sell goods illegally, people like NG and watz his berry telling everyone how to fish dropshot and the fact is that these guys don't really know how.

As for the support you obviously haven't even bothered to pick up the phone and ask, Why don't you give it a try, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Fluke you have hit the nail on the head !!! With guys like this, they secure the rights to products (Berkley is one of MANY here) and then feel that if you want their product, you have to buy it from someone who they supply, so they make their money anyway, and then give you kak warranty service etc...

OK,

So is there then anyone who has a question about fishing.
Enough with the name calling, lets all be friends.

Yes, I have a fishing related question...

With the fuel prices so high, based on oil prices, which effect plastic manufacturing etc, coupled with the exchange which went up drastically and has now settled a tiny bit, when it comes to Berkley and Abu, would you recommend I buy from Cabelas or Bass Pro Shops :woohoo

With the Rand at what it is you will get a better price at any local dealer,
But this is the point I'm tiring to make. don't support the shops in your area and the products will just become more and more scares and expensive.

Your chioce

Van the fisherman (Mr. Berkley) - you obviously didden't see my question to you in another post so I will post it here.

..... But us, the fishermen, we are getting screwed by somebody! And we are not screwing ourselves.... Well, then again, maybe we are by not ordering these products online until your industry decides to pull yourselves together.
I agree 100% Loams   -  and have to revert to my previous comment from earlier in this post - Van the Fisherman please answer! - "Four years ago I bought a new TLD 15 for R800, why hasen't it gone up to R2000? In fact I can probably get one for R900 and I can tell you that they sell a whole lot more ondas than TLD's."!!!!! (ondas have gone from about R40 to nearly R110 in the past 4 years)

somebody...............somebody who???

You forget that a lot of people on this forum are not just subsistence fishermen with a std 2 education or hobos who sleep under the piers.......a lot of the guys run their own businesses (manufacturing, retail and importing incl.), are professionals in all sorts of fields or hold good positions in established companies...........whatever ..........but I can tell you one thing.........we are not stupid !!!!!!
