Berkley vs Sensation

Dear LJ, thanks for the compliments, although not sure it is deserved as my responses was not all done with your best interest at heart.....lol

Just a quick background here, so that we all on the same page. I am 33 ( The ballie comes from my son, as I am his Ballie )

I run a branch of the largest international company in my industry ( service provider ) and being in the service industry have to contend with irate and unreasonable clients on almost a daily basis. I have had our company berated, critised and downrigth slandered on international forums, by uneducated, irrasional and totally misguided clients, but would not dare to tackle them on an open forum as it will destroy me. I rather adress it in private and any open discussion is handled with the utmost diplomacy, even if it frustrates and infuriates me to no end.

I do try and apply logic to most things in life - some would maybe reckon it is due to a lack of proper knowledge ....but it works so far .....hahahahha

Neilg has summed up what the general perception is at the moment.

I accept your explanation and believe, most members would as well whole heartedly support your cause, should all the facts be known....... ( I understand that you probably can not name the culprit now, but by opening this can of worms publicily, you have almost comitted yourselve to doing so )

Problem is and please humour me here ....go back to the beginning and re-read your post from a neutral point of view - based on the assumption that you have no facts at hand, as to who is being implicated. It might give you an insight into the reaction you encountered.

The same for Van, from a neutral point of view or an consumer point of view review his posts from the start - as I mentioned before, I would have expected the main representative of a major brand in SA, whom by the way has done a hell of a lot for the angling community, to be much more diplomatic in his approach - unfortunately a perception of arrogance and "don't care" has been created, which is going to take time to change.

We can all benefit from each other once all hostilities have been resolved.

And on a postive note it seems that Van is quickly changing that perception with the DVD distribution ...I'll be the first to say ...well done and thanks

Revo,

Someday your going to need help with one of your Revo reels, and then it's me who has to help, I can help you with any reel related problems, all I'm saying is that, the service is what you pay for. I have a room full of spare parts, some of those parts go back as far as 30 years and I know most of there part numbers out of my head.

Now do you think it's fair, for you to buy your reels off the net, from overseas and then, need the help of an agent somewhere along the line.

I don't, it's insulting to think, that there is someone out there, who thinks that my job is a joke.

Hi

Can u please help with a part for my Abu Garcia CT C3 mag elite. There is an arm inside that has worn a bit and I stuffed it up by trying to sort it out by bending it.

I have tried getting the part through tackle shops but was met with a bit disinterest in helping ( I admitt I have only tried 2 )(and the one refered me to a grey market importer of parts )

Reel number on the foot is 070011 37

The part number given in my book is 22077

Flying down tonight. Wind is K@K down there at the mo, so maybe wet a line Sunday only. From the side. Will be hooking up with some of the guys in Langebaan who are fishing Comp tomorrow. SE at 40+ I hear, so not fun. More a case of watch rugby over a cold beer than fishing - for tomorrow at least.

Lots of planning regarding YFT on VJ gear. HT and the guys started klapping them on Wednesday on 37Kg boat gear, so the time for Vertical Jigging is near!!!!!

There will be some BIG results on Vertical Jig very soon methinks. Nepps and Mark have some "secret, dark and devious weapons" which will be tried and tested on YFT in the deep during the next week or so.

Back to the Softs. Will focus on bek and Kobbies in False Bay during December/Jan. Some fun expected there as well.

Cheers

Dear Sven,

Encase you do not know the sand worm comes in 2", 4" thin,4" fat and 6" as well as 8" and is packed according to the weight, so of you buy a tub of Alive 2" and a tub of 6" you will see that it is the same value for money.

Cheers
Van
