Monofilament fishing line had wrapped around the tail cutting into the flesh and causing severe scarring and mutilation. This must have caused the dolphin a great amount of discomfort and pain. Various species of barnacles have grown in the scarred area. The animal was disposed of by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife. Please be aware of possibly endangering wildlife and be responsible with your rubbish and unwanted line. - Natal Sharks Board.[/font]
