Be aware of where you fish because nowhere is safe anymore. 7 Anglers were mugged with pangas at the vierlanden dam in durbanville. Two guys showed up with pangas and threatened the anglers and they had too give up their cellphones and money. This happened in a residential area where allot of people fish and walk with their dogs. Please be safe and tight lines

Eish this is so sad.. Dont worry one day those muggers will get what they deserve when they least expect it and get a hiding 
I guess they could have tried too defend themselfs but they are school boys against 2 grownups with pangas. I would do the safe thing. I figure i must get a few guys together with weapons and go there everyday and see if they pitch up again. then we would have enouge barbel bait to last us for months.:uzi::cavmn::gas:

look if it was school boys, then i can understand, probably safer for them not to fight back even if they had the advantage of numbers. but anyone that tries to take anything off me had better be prepared to fight, 'cos it's not going to be that easy, panga or no panga.

Sad story... But that's how there coward bass-tardos behave. If they see one grown up they won't take a chance. they are opportunists. We need to get some school kids to fish and then have their ballies in the bush with guns.
