Wife is busy installing BF4 for me, so when I get home no time is wasted getting online.....
Who else is playing?

Singre player game is short, 5 hours or so, but the multi-player is awesome as usual.

I Landed up getting addicted to BF3 on xbox. Played literally just about every night for a minimum of 3hours.
When my xbox live subscription came to an end I decided to quit. I am however itching to get BF4 and return to my old ways. With the buffet of shooter games on the horizon, I am not sure if i really want to walk down the path again...
but please.. how good is it?

Dunno about good for x-box, but pc graphics is awesome. I played BF2 almost every night, skipped bf3 almost completely and now I can feel/see I'm rusty.

I was completely hooked on BF2, and a master at it. Missed out on BF3 completely, would love to play BF4 but time is low, unless I sacrifice sleep. Hmmm. Will it run on a MAC 27? it's got 32Gb RAM so no issues with power..

I'm still on bf3. Xbox. Will get 4 next year. Only played beta when it was open. I see a lot of bf3 hackers n cheaters struggle to do their aimbot jive on 4 , apparently dice got a lil wake up lol. I'm opening a new thread on some help with pc build.

The short answer is no. Unless EA/DICE have ported it to Mac then it will not run. Regardless of how powerful your Mac may be the game was not designed for Mac OS. Also you will need a decently powerful graphics card to run this game the way it should be. I'm not sure about Mac OS and DirectX but that would be another issue. So, basically unless the developers have ported it to run on Mac then it will not run.

How about installing a mirror windows O/S on Mac? No worries with display performance it's a 2GB graphics processor, I use it for video editing.
Not sure if I'm lus for all the rigmarole of setting up a mirror on Mac but it can be done

Yeah I've seen guys dual boot Windows and Mac OS. If you can do it, and your hardware is powerful enough then you should be ok.
