Hiya Guys,
This was a hot topic even during the bash.
The idea of doing a combination with the boating chaps is a great idea, but looking at the response and numbers it looks like the boating chaps could have a entire Birthday Bash of their own.
As far as R&S I really feel that HITW is halfway for everyone. Now some may say that the CT guys don’t attend, and therefore why consider them when choosing a venue?
My thoughts are that we should settle on a suitable venue and fish it for at least three consecutive years. This will go a long way in ensuring that everyone gets to hear about the Bash and makes equal chance for all to attend.
Once we get the numbers up, including CT guys, the bash becomes almost institutional with a reputation to boot. Then we can revisit the location and either keep it along the Wild Coast or move it to another province or location.
Reefman…this needs some serious consideration if the intention is to grow the Bash with representation from all provinces. It also looks like a Birthday Bash for all the other facets on Sealine could well be a reality!
Couldn't agree with you more boet. Not into sitting on a mountside while every one else is fishing or getting grass burns on the DERRIERand no stressing about falling of high rocks (mountains)
just trying to get to the spots
there is alot of space at vidal and its not all about walking miles
this could get seriously complicated.trophy you spot on pick the right place and you could have everyone involved
including the fresh water boys
See, the boat has Mercruiser motors on - way to powerfull for the bakkie - maybe "beach" launching would be better?
