Just be warned, it's not exactly the best time of year to fish Vidal. Snoek and the odd winter croc.

We should call it the "Sealine Classic" and get someone to sponsor a boat as prize :)
Huh?? October?

Hey Shaggy - you are the expert, but I don't rate Sodwana that much until about December so I am guessing this is similar. Also, I only target gamefish, not bills.

What would be on your target list in October?
I certainly wouldn't say expert, sheez!

But yes we would be looking at Inshore Sailfish,Kings, couta and snoekand offshore 100mtrs plus the early season marlin but thats only if the water is 24+,Tuna and Dorado, Tuna, couta and snoek.

Guys, I want to try join the B-bash this year (if my financial situation allows me). Just a couple of comments/suggestions:

- I work in the construction industry and I know of a lot of members do as well. We only get holiday in December and for us the B-bash will only be for the weekend. Vidal and HITW too far away for us guys down South.

Suggestion: why not work it on a rotation basis, alternating between the coastal (or all) provinces.

I like the idea of involving the off shore guys and if I can make it to the B-bash I will certainly be looking for a site. ^^..^^..

If I can manage to guess the correct 6 numbers on Friday, I'll make my Riviera Flybridge 47 available to any person that needs a site, FREE OF CHARGE

I've always wanted to see someone surf launch one of those :)

If it breaks, just replace it lol

Okay given this some thought.

I have tried to fish off a boat many time, but it just doen't work for me.

I get to fish maybe 4 or 5 times a year, and if I take a week of work I want to know it's gonna be great. If I weight the two options up, HITW v.s Vidal my money goes to HITW, as a R&S angler i know I would have better chance of hooking into something at HITW.

We had a quick meeting at the Trophy den last night and when i brought up vidal all who where there( Havoc,Albatros,Mango,Trophy and myself) said to far to travel. So i dont think vidal will see the PE gang, HITW is a maybe at the moment.

Good point here.....lots of the Guys here feel the same way. I for one may be unlucky and not be off for this one. It is a good suggestion and something to be proposed to the Chief Officer's.

Anyway I think this bash was always at the Kei ?? wassnt Reefs?

I think KK would want it to be there!              :fishn:wfish

all due respect but KK wouldnt really care where it is...as long as he is fishing and with his mates he would be happy! he had fished viadl and the kei plenty times and had good success at both.

with regards to the situation, either goes for me, i made the efort last year with studying and work and i can do it again this year!

I am in for vidal..the reason for that is we can fish at night and it is safe to do so and in the day we can do deep fishing..

Action Man you got it spot on about KK..

It just always you a bit of veriety and you dont need to drive far to fish..

Someone mentioned on an earler post that the fishing wasnt so great at vidal there last few trips...but look at last years b/bash ..how many people blanked..??..it is luck of the draw...

Vidal is always lekker, and you always stand the chance to hook into something memorable

Mussle Cracker makes a good point - on the Zululand coast you've got to fish at night for the best results, but the ledges can be good durning the day. So you can Skiboat in the morning, crayfish in the afternoon, R&S in the evening... sounds good no? :)

And safety is not a concern.

and no stressing about falling of high rocks (mountains)

just trying to get to the spots

there is alot of space at vidal and its not all about walking miles

i  think Vidal is the best spot to involve the boating, ski and jetski guys! would be great to have all the saltwater facets of Sealine at one event!

on the other hand i understand the PE and Cape guys would have very far to travel, and it would be difficult for them to attend! will be a shame if Mango cant mess maranade on my feet again! LOL

so its a bit of a catch22 for me! but if i had to vote i'd go for Vidal, always good to try new things!!
