I picked up a comment about needing to win the lotto somewhere above. I couldn't agree more!

It would allow us to go and target these guys more often.

Port St Johns, one of 6 fish landed none under 1m long! I could not go wrong and the guys throwing baits caught zip!

Now its time to catch fish! :wfish

So much new tackle in such a short space of time - glad to see insurance held up their end and reinforces how important insurance is, especially with fishing tackle.

Imagine having to replace all your tackle out of your own pocket?

All my gear is specified as well.

No fish this side, haven't been to the water as the weather has been a bit foul.

@ Spin, do Bream stay in the river the whole year or do they leave the rivers? just curious to know.

They should be at sea now spreading there genes. They usually go to sea in the winter months to spawn. That's why at the moment we have so many around the mouth area in our region. They all finding there way out then in august there's a boost of them in the mouth area again then they head upriver for the warmer summer temp waters again.

Nice fishies there.

I'm really keen on this weekend trip somewhere. Can't wait
What is actually the better time of year for rivers?

Hey Boep.
things have been so hectic the last few weeks i have not had a chance to work on the planning for the trip.
the better time of year would be the start of the summer months as the fish start moving back into the rivers with the warmer water.

im still keen to go away for the weekend, even if the rivers get a bit quieter it will still be fun.

next week ill give you guys a call and we can maybe have a get together and we can all chip in some ideas? and maybe have a :beer or 2 :)
