Hi Clinton, good idea to get a thread going for your area! The Swartkops one has done so well, and I am sure that the East London Boys have a lot to share. I look forward to seeing this thread growing and reading about the catches that you guys are making down there. With the Transkei right on your doorstep, there should be some really good pic's and comments posted!

Hi Tommo.

yes, the reason for starting this thread is to get the E.L guys to post there catches and share information. we have some amazing rivers, blind rivers , estuaries and a wide stretch of rock and surf spots to fish.

I go to the Transkei every year with one or two of my mates.it is just up the road from us and in my opinion is one of the best fishing destinations in the world!

will keep this thread updated with picks and comments.
cheers.

Thought i would post a couple more picks from our Transkei trip.
they might not be big fish, but when you actually see a fish come up and smash your surface lure its enough to get the blood pumping!

my first and tiny River Snapper.

We spent five days in the Transkei. just my mate Chad and i. we caught some amazing fish! caught more than twenty fish and lost about 8-10.eight different species and im really proud to say that every fish caught was released safely and successfully! all fish where caught on artificial's
.
:fswim

The Transkei is such a special place and i urge all fisherman that fish the Transkei to please stick to your size and bag limits or even better so practice catch and release.it is so rewarding going back every year and being able to catch amazing fish.
