So ive decided that i will shorten my 11ft exage heavy into a 10 ft or 10.5 ft exage heavy. For lbg spinning i think this could work a charm. Is there any reason why it shouldnt be done? Will i be destroying a blank? Ill be taking it off the butt end of course!

I want to build up one of my rods grips with cork rings, but they are just too expensive to import. Are there rod builders or shops that stock cork rings at reasonable prices in SA? Thanks in advance>
