Hi, your best bet for a tight line would be to target leervis (garrick) - fishing into the channel on a strong pushing tide. Floating or intermediate line - anything from 5 to 9wt. Flies = chatreuse / white clousers (as always), small poppers, creaseflies (works very well apparently). Conventional tackle - spinning rod with chiselnose plugs or other surface poppers in the river (always strong pushing tide) or off the beach into the surf - heavier spinning outfit with metal spoons - early mornings are good. that's just the leeries but you can also target kob and grunter (don't get your hopes up) it's always better to have some form of transport on the water in the river. even if only to reach good shore fishing spots. also search sealine for "breede", sit back and enjoy the ride!:welcomesea:

River might still be flowing strong at that time of year but the Infanta side has a lot of action along the rocks. Streamers and small artificial prawns for the fly rod

thanks for the help some good advise, does the wind play a role in how the fish are feeding and if so is there a (better) wind direction ?
