Well with the little knowledge that i do have about ski fishing i do know that when the fish is running it tows you until you end up landing or loosing it.Thats what frightens me about that sport.What happens if you spend 2 hours fighting a huge fish and then have to paddled back after a long hard fight.Bru i am sure my arms might fall of.
I dont think i could ever handle ski fishing...

Mike Hutchinson hooked a black marlin of about 60 kg about 4 yrs ago in Moz. the fish towed him about 4-6 km b4 he landed it after a 2 hr battle, and he had to tow it back to shore cause it could not fit on the ski.
Fishingski anglers normally fish in pair or more and if someone hooks onto a steam train, then the guys normally tie their ski's together to create more resistance to tire the fish out quickly.
If you by chance hook a whale then cut the line.::H

I launch mainly from Blue lagoon or Umdloti.
AT blue lagoon I troll just behind the backline, and at umdloti I go in about 3-4 km this being just about within my limit.
I have not been out in over six months due to a bad shoulder which hinders my swimming whenever I get dumped in the waves.

IF ITS BIG AND FEELS STRONG WE GIVE IT LINE THEN TIGHTEN SLOWLY TO GET THAT MOMENTUM GOING THEN TIGHTEN SLOWLY AND TILL IT STARTS PULLING THE SKI,WE THEN TIGHTEN FULLY THEN LET IT TOW YOU TILL ITS TIRED THEN YOU PADDLE TOWARDS HIM AND HALLL HIM OUT.BUT VERY TRICKY,YOU HAVE TO MASTER IT 1ST

Then, if you going to target big game, don't go with a rudderless ski....mayhem.
You need to be able to steer while still using bothe arms for the fight. And to use the rudder to offer resistance to a long pull to tire the monster out before you get tired!
