so i got myself a torium 14 as the torium 30 has now become the dedicated shark reel. I want a light rod for the reel that would give me maximum casting distance. I took a few test casts with the afaw and it went miles however the afaw isnt exactly light...... What do you guys recommend i buy? Thanks in advance.

Going rate for a 110H last time I looked at Fishing Specialist was about R1600.

Purglass Executive range ( 350/2 or 350/3) also great but then again nowhere near the R600 mark.

I doubt you would find anything decent for under R1000

110H , I use a 4-5oz in langebaan throws the same distance as my 14ft. In the surf I use 6oz with sardine.

I use the WAFT Shad with my Toruim 14. A superb combination. I dont even have to catch fish. Just the casting action and distance gives a smile everytime. This is my main setup for shad and smaller edible. I have used this combo from the beaches and rocks and although it might be a bit more expensive than what you would like to spend I would advise to try save a bit more and get a yourself a decent rod. You wont regret. Good luck man.

Had a test cast with my buddies setup:

13' Sensation Shad Pro HMG 3-4oz + Torium 14

Beautiful little setup, same setup he used to catch his Cracker. I think the rod is about R600-R700.

Do you perhaps know where they stock them? I'd like to have a look
