What pattern to target yellows?

Hey guys, I'm going down to the Lowveld for the first time and I've been told the species to target in the river there is Yellow. I don't know this species at all. What kind of pattern would you guys recommend and what depth should the retrieve be?

Well what kind of water are you fishing ? If you fishing the rapids and riffles - you are basically indicator nymphing.Use a mustard caddis,copper john or vaal caddis as your dropper and a flash back of sorts as your point fly.If the water is fairly clean stick to your lighter color flash backs ( olive,brown and purple) If dirty use you big black flash backs. hot spot nymphs are also very good.If you are fishing the glides well woolly buggers and strip leaches have worked for me but i have not fished low veld much so so i am sure there are other members who can give you more advise. Thanks, Tuna. I don't know the area at all and haven't seen the river so I'm not sure what the colour or the structure will look like. Your reply has given me plenty to go on as a start, though, so thanks.
