What knot.

What is the best and most popular knot used by you guys when tying mono hook-link to small 0.8 hooks?

I never used a figure 8 on a hook before, I do use it all the time at the other end though.

Just realised that you are a freshwater guy and I have no idea what I'm talking about then!  Probably ignore my knot - I dont do pap!

However, when making a sabiki or similar small hook trace for steepies, (tiny #10 hooks) a figure-8 knot works well.

Also know as Uni knot

This was the knot I thought about! Thanks a lot. I will use it exclusively from now when tying mono to the DH55 hooks.

Hi

Like Avo said there is only one knot i use and I use it on all my traces for carp and barbel. That is from 0.8 papgooi rigs with 7lb hook links to 12o circle hooks with a 60lb hook link for barbel.

This knot has never failed me.

No it looks great. I always use braid for hooklinks and then the knotless knot, which have never failed me. But the knotless knot feels wrong when using mono on small 0.8 hooks.

I use improved blood knot with 6 turns for thin lines, never failed me.
