I hope some one from rapalla VMC is on the forum! i could not believe my ears today when i was told that postage for a trini spool is R68.00 + vat, come on! i send parsels all over the country and i pay R48inc vat for a 1kg bag, when i told the guy that is more than normal he just said that was their policy and tough!! i dont think that is right as they make a provit on the parts as the spool is already R400bucks!!

:fbash

i have been doing the upgrade for 2 years! i brought the first finnors in to SA, i have stock of the washers that are used in the finnors, in my opinion it is a great reel! un fortunately the best reel mechanic in SA says you should not use carbontex washers as they make the gears brake!lol

I also distribute all over the country and

Speed services overnight - up to 1kg is R48

Post office R28.50 for the 1st kg then R3.50 per kg there after and takes 4 days insured post

Couriers 0 -> 2kg R65-80 depending on the service.

Conclusion, using post office is to much PT and there nearest one is far from them so they use the courier and you have no choice.

Whaler I'm going to collect stuff from them tomorrow. If you want I can pick up for you and post it.......... insured post

I agree with Whaler, they should charge ACTUAL postage costs.

I got caught on bidorbuy with a similar 'scam'' - the guy sells his stuff cheap, then demands a ridiculous price for postage!

Here the item is expensive, then you pay extra on postage, not fair!

Yeah, had the same sh!t on bid or buy, charging R70 normal postage...some people think most others are idiots and have no clue what the actual postage costs should be!!!

Yeah i deal with posting many different items at work and it is quite expensive hey... Maybe that price includes a bit of insurance for the parcel as well?

Don't think thats the case here, bought small items, posted with insurance, tracking number R48, then others charge R70 for the same item in the same province?? Greed and ripping people off....my 2c

They send with courier service and courier service has a minimum cost form 0-2kg, not using post Office. My courier charges on 0-2kg insured is R84 so their prices are not to steep for courier but there are other ways of doing business.

Maybe these small sales are more a hassle than a service for them.

Not to worry though I'll be collecting and posting with insurance to Whaler.

Well I bought 2 x Torium 30's for R900 ea on Ebay and there postage was $15 each (2 different sellers)

Got the first one and it has truly only been used twice

At least with EBay they have a reputation and excellent buyer protection checks for you as buyer.
