Wetsuit thickness

Hi guys

Need to get a proper wetsuit for the EC conditions. What thickness would you guys recommend and where in PE will I find them?

I would recommend an open cell suite. 4mm farmer john with 5mm hooded jacket. Try a coral custom suite, cheaper than a standard suite.

I would suggest a F/John 5mm and get yourself a Spearos top with hood form Lizzard or Rob Allen in Durban for the winter months

Yes L I told you it's all your fault!!!

I've decided to give it a go in PE mate before I make up my mind. Only dived twice in Knysna at the heads and it was awesome!! Dont want to give it up and then mis out and regret it later in life.

I guess if I could work 5 years in this sh*&^thole I could gather up the nerves to become part of the food chain....lol

the food chain. get your wife and kids some fins and masks adn cheap wetsuits so that they can snorkel whilst your spearfish. My wife is hooked totally and even my little one loves to snorkel and check all the little reef fish.

I'm still using a 3/4 Billabong surfing suit for most of my diving here, but I have a 5mm old school jacket with toggles to put over it for the cold dives. Got 2 dive belts luckily so just grab the heavier when using it.

Anyone see the dolphins in the bay yesterday? Freakin awesome!! About 200 of them into a bait ball with birds. Frothing white water everywhere!!
