Die vorige kliniek het nie lekker gewerk so deur die hengel nie so ons wil die keer 'n 'eksklusiewe' dag kliniek hou en dan 'n social in die somer reel waar hulle alles kan toe pas en dan ook sommer vrae en raad vra.

Hennie kom 8 Mei terug van Jeffery's so die kliniek sal daar na gehou moet word (datum voorstelle?). Rietvlei klink na die mees sentrale venue.

Leeukop gevangenis is ook n opsie. Dan kan meer manne van JHB af daar wees. Sal dalk net moet reel met die dam daar. Seker ons sal plek kry in die winter daar.

Hey guys , just thought I would give this a bump as we settle into winter . Im still extremely keen as Im planning a trip with family to the Orange and Namibia in November and need all the help and advice I can get .

Doesn't have to be an over the top clinic , just an informal get together on a Saturday afternoon or morning to have a bit of a chat and meet and greet ?

Good idea Antjar, need tips... Want to get a "Snor" of 25kg+ out of the Vaaldam this summer!!!

Did any of you see the picture of the guy who caught a barbel of about 39kg's in the Vaaldam, was in one of the fishing magazines? (think it was "Stywe Lyne") There was not much detail and the picture is not a full length pic... Sounds like a "Fisherman's Tale"....

39 kilo out of the vaal. Sounds like a bull duster. I have fished the vaal dam hard.. I live here on the water literally lol. My biggest is a 24 and ill tell you they dont come out often that size. Try get a pic


As for this clinic... by the time you guys finalise it barbel will be extinct.. make a date for October bring your boats pack for a weekend amd get ur butts down here. Best way to learn is while fishing.. simple ne

Haha yeah after sleeping on it , I reckon we just arrange a bolt-on to the annual Fishing Pro Shop artlure seminar which is usually in August . If we cant get an "expert" we could always just share a few ideas with each other .

Hi Guys,

Here is the picture of that barbel. I made a mistake, as the fish was caught in the Vaal River and not in the dam....

As you can see there is very little detail. If I caught a barbel like this I would aim front the front page of Huidgenoot...



Maybe someone on the forum can shed some light/info..
