Good day all

I am looking for the following:

Shimano Tiagra 80 or 130 reel
Penn Battle 8000 reel
Stand up harness
Any spare braid or dacron of 50 to 100 lbs in long lengths.

Anybody who is looking to sell theirs?

For your Bassas trip?

Just a tip. If you are fishing stand up, don't get a 130. It will kill you, that thing is heavy. In fact even the 80 is too heavy

If anything, get a Tiagra 50 and load it with 80 lb braid and 80-100m of 80lb top shot.

Just a thought.

Jo maybe have a look at Gani's (Witbank) for some of the tackle. I bought my Penn Battle 5000 there for R800, but that was 3 ears ago. But they definitely have the best prices.

Hi Bennie, thanks for the reply. Yes it is for the Bassas trip. Yes maybe you are right, I have not even held a 130, but can just imagine its a big. Was just sniffing around for a bargain. Pretty keen for an 80 though, but I will have a look again and compare.

Thanks Kipi, I have also heard they are hard to beat with prices. Sent them an email yesterday.

Bump.

Any stand up harnesses? Braid or Black Magic, or anything with a gimbal.

Speak to Mariska, very good service, super fast shipping too. Also try KF in Durban. Sometimes, it's better to phone Ganis instead of email, just speak to Norma.

Hey. I got something a little less expensive. A Kingfisher Teza stand up harness and bucket with gimbal. It's not the best, but at 14% the cost of a Black Magic, it is good enough for me. That cost me R550 from Angling and Outdoor in Nelspruit.

Sure thing Serra Moz. I still have to spool the reels and such, but I will. I know I will also have to do a small write up of the bassas trip, so no problem.

Maps = Maputo? But where is Mats? Haha no idea! Yes we go past Maputo often on the way up to Inhambane.
