@Bennie... That Ginei vid has to be the best I've seen on lure building. Japanese craftsmanship just moves everything onto a new level. Thanks for that one bud.

Btw. What adhesive do you use for applying the foil?

Foil has a sticky back. You just peal and stick actually.

I have done a foiling demo, you can search for it..

I had to strip all the paint off and start painting again... Lesson 1 - PATIENCE! Which I have none of.

Silver done, time for colour!

This looks really cool. Must be an awesome feeling catching a big one on a lure you have made yourself....On the other hand would be a real bugger loosing the lure that you have spent hours on.

That just motivates you to make more! Making the lure is also part of the fun!

Thanks for the comment!

Final colour and clear coats.

Final weight ended up at 55 grams
Rigged with a 1/0 at the back and 2/0 on the belly.

Hi Bennie,

With having a magnet inside the lure, there will be a meganetic field created.

Will this not have an effect on the catch rate of the lure?

I know with such a small magnet the field will be very weak but some fish are more sensitive than others.

Hi,

I think, if anything it will probably increase the catch rate. Many Japanese lures use a magnetic ballast system.
