The PH project!

Bennie, We go through many cubes of material every month so not a problem. I have about 10 cubes of offcut, mostly 25mm as we manufacture alot of flooring, but have some thicker ones as well from custom projects.
I know I have lots of Zim teak in 50 x _+ 40 / 50 in a pile somewhere and we did a big Afromosia & iroko job that would be about 30 x 30 and some 50 x 40mm which will work well.

Will some 30mm work?

If you give some rough lengths I can cut the long ones to 500mm? for ease of packing and varied shorter pieces, am sure that all must not be 150mm long, can put it on a train or airport to airport? what would be best low cost option to get it there?

Howzit,
The average size would be around 50X50X250mm or 40x40x200mm. 30mm is a bit on the small side. I can however use a few 30X50X 250mm to make stick baits. So if they are 500mm long, that's cool because I'll cut 2 out of it. I have saws just not a planer.

The best is courier. We use courier all the time (daily) so when you got something for me, I can just get a courier to collect.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

::SI am stoked! But most of all that you got your motors sorted. I too own Hondas and I get great service, the guys fall over but it might have to do with the fact that I'm very involved in the industry. My boat has been used for marketing etc. When a dealer makes kak it has a knock on effect to all the other dealers as well as owners and resale values etc.

Thanks
Bennie

Yeh it's great to be back on the water!!!!!!,

I must say the honda sa guys did come to the party with new parts and fixing the dealers disaster, albeit with huge frustration and distant non communicative corporate attitude with a dash of user always to blame added in for good measure. This lowers the value of the brand, and thus our value.

I hope they get it right, not good for brand acceptance having clients who have a bad taste in their mouth. my saga not fully over...

The important thing is I can chase the tail, and have fresh fish again!

Hope the aquamall / honda thing happens here.

Let u know on that timber.

You are truly an artist! You make collector's items!!!

I have another piece of that purple heart which I'll get to you next week. It will be wasted on me.

I'm glad you like it so far. I was going to try and get it ready for you today, but I'm not happy with how the tail grommet sits so I need to machine it a bit first.

Bennie really inspired me now.

Once the Cedar Strip Evolution is finished, I'm also going to try my hand at making lures.

Here's my "Baby"  I'll just replace the toolholder with a toolrest.

Awesome, you are going to love it! Judging by the look of that work area, I'd say you are hands on and will quickly be producing your own master pieces.

Sorry, I "highjacked" this thread a bit. I'm not so sure about the "master pieces" bit

Thanks Bennie

You are right. I never realised that some pieces of Purple Heart can sink untill Bennie informed me!!

Any piece you make yourself is a master piece! It is easy to go to the tackle den and buy the most popular lure, but to come home in the evenings and make your own lures for the weekend ahead requires a lot more respect! The fish you get will be worth a dozen more.

No doubt they will be "master pieces"!

Thanks for the popper, Bennie.

Not that there's anything wrong with your photo's but they don't really do justice to what  your expert craftsmanship really looks like.

One suggesion, though - you should really consider putting a logo or you signature on the items you make.

I showed the popper to Codfather and to say he was in awe is an understatement.

I owe you, buddy
