Hi all, I'm looking at getting a 16.6 forward console acecraft. Boat doesn't have motors now. What engines are ideal for this? It had 2 50 four strokes but apparently were too big. Would 2x 40s be better?

Will I be able to launch with a 2x4?

I had one of those and 2 40's are more than enough for that boat.

Hi i have a 1977 21,6 ace craft that i want to put foam and a new deck. Can anybody suggest someone in Mpumalanga. It is all wood.

I left that province 9 years ago, but you could phone Rudamans in Nelspruit. They would be able to point you in the right direction.

Hi guys, in what way is the 18'6 acecraft SVD any better than the DV? Better turning circle? I think you can't really compare motion at drift, because they will both be relative the same. The DV just seems to be the one to go for... Why did they even bother with the SDV? Slightly less power required?

Great thread and  alot of awesum boats. For now im making the best of my little acecraft i bought recently. Im going to redo the deck and put bottles in and then redo the boat completely with poolcoat. One thing i want to change is the very low gunnels , I dont know if this was once a forward console (One of the experts can maby tell). I saw a few pic of higher gunnels on the center console acecrafts...How can i go about in making mine like that. I can do fibre work etc but is there maby a mold just for the gunnels that would maby fit on my 15`6 Ace

I want to make my gunwales like this if anyone can help maby. I think if i take 9mm marine ply and shape it like that and fibreglass over it and smoothen it out. It should be sturdy enough and wont add that much extra weight. I have a 115 so its more then enough for the added weight

Hi guys is there anyone who would like to do a build project of a 21ft/660DV Ace-Craft.

I have the opportunity to acquire the mould that will be otherwise scrapped. This would be a very sad day to see this legend scrapped. The mould is still in excellent condition.

I will be willing to help out in any way neccessary with the build.

Hi julle, ek en my pa het 'n Ace Craft 18,6ft projek boot gekoop. Sien haar ou naam was Wild Aces. Sien uit om haar weer see reg te maak!
