A 550DV from Hermanus

Clearly same Chine Pattern .

I have 2 explanations -

1)Was there a 18,6 Deep V as well as a Semi Deep V model ?

2) Maybe when they hit the cold Atlantic Water the Chines freeze off??

I think you are right

Go have a look at their sterns and let us know

Also go look at old posts 124 and onwards

I think the downstrakes on the 18,6 is the semi deep V hull

BFC,

That second pic is not a 18,6 hull

That 550 DV looks right, but not as deep as the 660 DV

What is the beam of the 550 DV?

I am mystified here

Them Stones,

That boat of your looks REALLY good!

How are you going to work the anchor?

Are you still putting bowrails?

Small brag:

2,5 ton Ace Craft running yesterday at 26 knots on one motor, not WOT

:)

Not going to be that easy in the open ocean when the swell is up though

Thika,

This is what the front of the boat looks like.

Well done...you are really persevering!

Those 3 motors are going to turn heads for sure!

Are you gonna put her in some dam to see how she floats before setting off to sea?

No need to put it in a dam to test it . Those boats handle 3x85's with ease.
