Hi guys, this was from me about a month ago, have not been fishing much since due to horrible weatehr during the times of the moon when I like to go fishing

Nice fish on artificials.The bartail makes the best eating of the lot

Nice fish Dave. . . We get that specific kinda trevally here in the South Eastern Cape too, but they are tiny and rarely caught.

Enigma I think what Dave caught is a Dusky flathead but im not sure from that pic. They get bartails there too

Can you post a clear, close-up pic of that interesting copper lure that the flathead was caught with please. Looks like a crayfish or crab imitation.
(Is it a ZED spinner?)

Hi, it was a dusky flathead. We do get bartail flatties too, mainly in river mouths and out at sea though

Those trevs grow to about 70cm and fight harder than equal sized kings in my opinion

The lure is an ecogear zx35. Amazing lure. You can get it in 30mm and 40mm as well as the one I was using

Would like to see it's action in the water, I'm sure it must be good in our mangrove estuaries and any indian ocean flats for bone-fish and pompano.

Have you ever used a vibe lure? When you lift it makes your rod shiver. It's a big ugly piece of metal but fish love it

Check out TT switch blades, ecogear zx series and vx series
Snag magnets sometimes but they are amazing
