Surf spinning

I keep getting wind knots when spinning with braid. Not sure if I am putting too much braid on the reel, or is it just not suitable for spinning with braid. Any thoughts?

Couple of questions:

1. What rod and reel combo are you using?
2. What thickness braid and leader are you using and what type of leader material?
3. Which lures are you using and what do they weigh?
4. Does the braid wind tight on the spool or are there loose loops/strands on the spool prior to casting?
