I've read a few topics on fishing in this area but all are very old.

Could someone please update me to the spots worth fishing on fly or spinning? Mainly spots (dams) for a student (cheap) and safe for a car.

Also where can I find a decent fishing shop?

Somerset sport has moved from Pick and PAy to next to the mosque>not to bad for gear.Eikendal has a dam its a wine farm just outside skelmbosch.Vlottenburg dam yo could try also maybe<on the Spier road
