Social Event at Cape Vidal?

Howzit gentlemen, we have a pool of R1100, and i'm going shopping... i'm going to try to get alot of stuff that we can both use and keep for a long time... I'll just get the stuff, wrap them up and then if we can get a panel, maybe Reefman and Volcom, to appropriate the prizes to the different positions or respective winners... Also, maybe we can just not have prizes, but a lucky draw...let me know, i'm off now to get the stuff... Lekker

For those that did not see the mail about the prizes money I suggest we collect R100 at the camp and have a first cash prize of R200 for one the comps/events.
Over the next 24 hrs we need to think about some events besides just 1.2.3 for fishing...maybe a general knowledge quiz...card games..best braiimaster..worst dressed..I think if mer can put up what he bought today we can work around some events/catches.
just my 2 c worth.

9. 3 x Kingfisher Leader line spools (0.70 -0.90)
10. 2x Fishing knifes
11. 1x 4oz spoon
12. 2x Chokka Mallets
13. 2x Fishing Scissors
14. 1x Waterproof book of knots.

My idea for distribution is as follows:
1st prize: Braid, 1 pack non-returns, 1 spool leader
2nd prize: Rocket feuel, all the jigheads, dropshot flukes
3rd prize: Knife, scissor, mallet, 1 spool leader
All the other stuff will be divided into 11 gifts, which will be handed out at a lucky prize draw, so that every memeber who contributed (11 guys), will get something to remember the Vidal trip by... What do u guys say... I have a preliminary plan for 11 gifts with the remainder of the stuff... What do u guys think????
This is just an idea, and i'm totally up for any suggestions...

Hey guys, just to emphasis what Reefman has reported about the weather, Saturday does not look good at all, but Friday looks really promising... Lets hope that strong SW, comes really late on Saturday... I got the information off weathersa.co.za...

Guys just a lil advice for Vidal. So you at least know what to expect.
Tackle wise, well, bring what you have but to narrow it down....
Spoons and poppers
sliding traces
hook sizes from 2` to 5` for eds such as pompano, shad and stumpies. 6` - 9` for eds such as kob, kings and ineds.
Bait - red eye, chokka, red prawn and a bonny or two and a pack of mackeral be great.
Once again i must state....DONT OVER PACK!!!!!
species to be encountered.....
Shad, pompano, stumpies, kings, speckled snappers, rockod, black tips, honeys and sandys.
do bring a lil flick stick.....great fun to be had fighting shad on a lil spoon or drift bait.
um.... what else????
Oh yea, dont trust a certain guy with a white Billabong cap.... he could pull a fish under your nose..... hehehehehe
