Snakehead Fish (can breathe out of water) ???????

South African Barbel can breath out of water too. ANd there are a few other species which can aswell.

There is currently a programme on National Geographic Wild, about Snakeheads in America. They originate from Thailand and made it into the waterways of America by some guy who bought the fish to make some special Asian soup. Somehow he did not need the fish anymore and released them into the local pond...
the fish can survive 9 days with out water, and has the ability to move across land. (pretty much in the same fashion as a barbel.)

Yeah my cousin told me he saw this on National Geo.  Amazin stuff. i learnt somthin new aswell .

It seems they hav eeven larger problems with Asian Carp in the Missisipi water system. Just go onto You tube and do a search for Asian carp to see the physical video footage of what a crisis they are having with these Alein Invaders.....
