Nice presentation subaruseun. If I was a cob (hehe), that bait would've been in my mouth (or should I rather say the hook through the side of my mouth) the moment it hits the water.

off the yak i work 3-6 lines depending on wind and current.

i dont do combos off the yak (have never needed to)

so i keep the fish close by with sard bait which delivers scent to the fishing zone and feed them clean chokka strips / white stump fillet baits / worm bait when i have and also anchovie baits, i will take pics next time...

btw...

2 hand lines
2 bungee lines
2 dropshot rigs of which one will be converted when i get a livey!

A bit off topic: how are those Adrenalin circle hooks working for you? I don't particularly like them because of the narrow gap, and prefer a decent (VMC) sports circle.

With the Adrenalin hooks, you have to be really careful with your bait presentation to leave the maximum gap possible. See your pic in post #7 - that small gap could very easily miss the hookup on a nice fish. I've been using them exclusively for worm baits, and only in sizes 3/0 and bigger. They are strong though! I had to bully a 70cm steenbras in strong white water between the rocks & kelp and it showed no weakness.

i have only used them on three trips and landed about 12 cob since using them cheapies. lost one fish on a lazy strike, lost three fish in bricks (line failure)

i was a bit weary about the "narrow" gap and pointed it out TO a mate (he bought them for me) who insists it is NOT a problem for him. i keep my baits long and thin.

post #01 and #05 is sort of the acceptable gape but i do agree i was pushing the limits in post #07, but see post 08 where i pulled the bait back before clipping to the sinker.

Thanks for the info, Do you drift or anchor up? assuming you anchor, what depth do you find the cob? I havn't gone deeper than 20m yet, primarily because of my stomach, but I am hoping that these pills sort that issue out. The guys up here only target poensies, and I havnt seen anyone try for a kobbie, so I think that they arent as prevalent here, but would like to try for them to see for myself :) What size dropshot do you use?

Sorry for inundating you with questions. Just trying to figure the ski thing out :)
