Where are some good camping spots on the Transkei coast line.
Looking for those of the beat hidden place between
Lets say, Bulls Inn and Port Edward.
Any suggestions.

White Clay, between HITW and Coffee Bay. My business partner and his wife camped there for a week recently and they were happy. Sounded safe with decent facilities but that's always a subjective opinion because nice to me may not be nice to the next guy. They are pretty fussy though and had no camplaints. In fact they were only supposed to be there 4 nights but extended there stay.

Ph 047 575 0008, it's not always easy to get hold of them.

If you prefer a more secluded place Mdumbi (just past Coffee Bay on the Durban side) is very nice.  I didn't have much luck with the fishing while I was there but the beach was voted the best beach in SA a couple of years back and is very nice. There's also a little river which is fun for drop shot with the missus/kids. The road was a bit dodgy (Dec 2011), but I made it there in my 1986 Jetta! The campsite at the backpackers was perfect and I'll definately be going back there next time I get a chance.

Thats more like the places I am looking for.
Except for the fact that there isn't a river at the edge of your campsite you'd have to go very far to beat the setting of White Clay. It's location is stunning and peaceful but I've never been to Mdumbi so I'm not going to compare them, just saying that completely overlooking White Clay because of my cautious comments would be a bit foolish.

Thanks Fluke.
I  have been there, White Clay. Hole in the wall.Bulls inn, Mbolompo(sommer camp there on the hill top) very nice.
Just wanna get back to the outback.
Think I must sommer do what we did as laaties.
Take the shotgun, clay-mores and set up camp just where I want.

Thanks all for the input so far.

The Transkei has so many places to offer that u wont find half of them alone.
Thats why I need your chaps input to share some places to stay there.

Pieter, about 8kms north of HITW is a beaut spot the locals call garrick bay. There is nothing there but lush green grass, deep water and plenty crayfish. We camped there for a week. Fishing was pretty good (only went for eds). Took our own generator, water etc. Saw about 5-6 locals, but no one bugged us.

If you have a 4x4 and dont mind bathing in the bay(Colgate Green apple, in seawater works like a charm) then this is what you looking for.  4th day we went back for some needy supplies......ok ice and more beer, but no accommodation costs and noise.....

PM me with a of POD case of beers and will provide you with more info.....enjoy

Hi All....my first post to this great forum.
Been reading this thread with interest. I live at Cebe (between Wavecrest and Gunqe) and as far as natural beauty, fishing and seafood is concerned....you will battle to match Cebe. 14 cottages no Eskom...we all use generators. We have had many fishing clubs visiting and our biggest bluefish caught in April was 5.8kg....reasonable rates too.
Travel to Centane from Butterworth (30 km tar) and Cebe is 29km from Centane.
Recently hosted the Komga Fishimg Club Annual weekend.
On one Saturday, 46 fish were caught and 35 were tagged and released, mostly blues, silvers, a few pigs and some bull blacktail

Good morning Barry.
Welcome to Sealine.:welcomesea:
Your place will be visited in the near future.

I do agree,. The wild coast is one of the most awsome areas.
Been there and will always go back there to look for new and exciting places.
