shimano slade 4000

just wondering , bought this a while back and was wondering if i could targetr shad on it? loaded with kingfisher mono (braid too expensive)

i definitly think so, iv got a 2500 daiwa regal and 10pound braid, my biggest shad with a spoon was 2.5kg,i'm sure if i had2 hook bigger i could land it? the 4000 packs more then enough line 2 land most shad you will get along our coast...awesome little reel by the way!

i use the slade 2500 for elf and leervis so the 4000 will do the job 1000% but use 8lb or 10lb heavier than that and it will not feel so lekker (line to heavy for reel)

well I use my Exceller 3000 loaded with 8lb Fireline, so hell yes, you can !

I have mine (Slade 4000) loaded with 15lbs Tuff line XP and it works like great...

Have caught a 4 kg shad on my slade 4000. Great little reel for that price!
