Bennie Looking good  do you cast them with Pu Resin ?
Hi,
I cast them in a PU called feather lite. Feather lite floats.
You can also use resin mixed with micro balloons. Basically it's the same thing just feather lite is pre-mixed and will be consistent because micro balloons are difficult to weigh in correct ratios in small quantities.

Micro balloons is indeed funny stuff to work with it feels like you are touching air , maybe better to mix by volume instead of weight on the micro balloons .

Do you have experience with Micro balloons? I've been meaning to "experiment" to try and get the mix right and consistent so that when you make a lure, it will be identical to the next.

Stunners, I like the wire, as it looks stronger than most birds that's for sale. Having looked and bought some, it's some sort of concern to me the quality of the wire loops.

The idea behind the new ones is they can swivel and slide on your leader. That means if a big billy eats, it cant use the weight of the bird to dislodge the hook like a pendulum.

Are there any similar products available in SA? If not, how does one get hold of Feather Lite? Awesome stuff, thanks Bennie.

Hi,
AMT composites sells Featherlite. Generally the Durban and JHB offices carry it. Although not listed on their website.
