I have noted that some guys have made their own accommodation bookings for the bash. I also belong to a holiday club that has accommodation at Hole in the Wall and will try to book some accommodation for that period. If I succeed in doing that I will approach other guys in the Western Cape to see if we cannot push up the numbers as it currently only Craig Myburg from WC that will be attending. If it is done with my club points it will cost about R 300.00 to R 500.00 per person for accommodation for a whole week. If the guys can share transport I would think that it would be possible to attend the bash at ± R 1 500 per person excluding meals and beverages. Once I have confirmed the booking I will privide more detail in this regard.

we have decided to book our own as we werent 100% sure if the birthday bash was still on, and by booking on our own we dont cause any inconvenience to others, our idea is the same as yours and it should be an example to others, it does make things easier and much cheaper if you have contacts or club holidays like you do.

OK Guys - Bad news. I did try to book accommodation for the period of the Birthday Bash, but unfortunately there is non available at that time. It also seems like there is not much interest from the WC members as nobody replied to my post about possible cheap accommodation. I was also informed by Craig Myburg (Only one from WC that indicated on this thread that he was attending) that he will no longer be able to make it. I was also very diplomatically reminded by the wife that it will not be a good time for me either as my daughter is writing her matric exams during that period. So I have decided to rather keep the peace and give the Bash a miss, but maybe next year. Sorry everyone.
