Hi All

During the school holidays I managed to get some fishing time in along the Cape South Coast and the Transkei. Below are the links to the reports at feathersandfluoro.com.

It was a great holiday and break with some very frustrating and very rewarding fishing! I suppose that is how it goes! Enjoy:

I also got to use a Stand Up Paddleboard as a fishing craft for the first time. Really awesome way of fishing! I'm saving! http://feathersandfluoro.com/2013/06/27/supping-with-a-flyrod/

Loveley read on The Knysna, Sedge bit.
I know exactly what you mean about the Grunter, they are a frustrating quarry on fly. I like you pink prawn imitation, it looks good.

I live in Knysna and got a bunch of leeries over the season, but my ultimate prize in the salt would be the grunter.

We have just got back from the same river in the Kei and got 2 iggies (5& 3kgs),a blacktip kingy and some shad, all on lure.We also managed to foul hook an electric ray with one of the lures.

The only downer was getting back to my bakkie and finding the window broken and all my stuff gone.It is a flipping amazing river.Got a 6-7kg Rock salmon on bait there 2 years ago.
