Hi boeta k, I came across this post by chance. Have very often wondered about the potential sea point has to offer. The thing is I have never seen anyone fish that area. where is Saunders rock and do you know of other spots in Seapoint where one can fish?

I grew up in Sea Point, the only options are basically hotties, and they can be caught at Saunders or Bantry Bay, on the Clifton side of Sea Point. You can also try the dolosse in Granger Bay, use lots of chum and light tackle/drift baits

Hi Arniej, sorry for the very delayed reply. Yes, there are many other spots to try in and around Seapoint area. Especially all the way from Bakoven ,STARTING at the TWELVE aposles hotel, towards Seapoint and all the way until Saunders Rock. Fishing at Granger bay is also ok , however the fish are not as big and abundant as around Bakoven and Saunders.

Please note that NO fishing is allowed from the Twelve Aposles hotel in the direction towards Houtbay, ( llandudno, Sandybay etc), that area including the lovely and only braai area there, is declared a Marine reserve.

Seapoint fishing is all about scratching were to find those fat Hotties!!!:wfish So enjoy!

(You can also try Soetwater for nice hottie and gallies)

Sorry for the late reply, been MIA.

I will try and make a few calls and see, but if I remember correctly the whole harbour area and surrounds is a no go zone.
