Guys I don't know what sauce you are talking about vbafvv

Only kidding... Here's the recipe...

This is not a marinade guys, it is used to baste while grilling and works well with all fish... Although don't be shy with some fish spice beforehand...

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2 garlic cloves, finely minced)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 table spoon soya sauce
1/2-1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)...

What I added for the mullet was some sweet chilli sauce and ground black pepper, for a bit of a bite.

In a small saucepan combine all the ingredients, cook over low heat until sugar has dissolved; cool... Before grilling the fish coat both sides in the sauce... Place on grill and continue to baste frequently... Grilling time for thicker cuts of fish is about 7-9 minutes... And there you go gents...

You gave me an idea to take my cast net from the store room. This is what I got in Milnerton. The fire is buring, salt and pepper and ready for action.
