Afternoon guys.
Thanks for enjoying the read.
Yip i must say it was the perfect way to start off the year. At 10 to twelve new years eve i decided to have the last cast for the year. Took a dead mullet and threw it out in the surf. Not having and sinkers i used a 3oz spoon as a sinker. The bait wasnt even in for 5 min and i got flatened. Dont know what it was as it took about 60m of line and came off.
New years day the kingies were up early and we each got a fish on our first cast. I also said now this is how to start 2012.

This pic was one of my best kingie. Dont think it was the biggest but if u can see it towed me around a bit. Haha. At one stage carlos says the boat was on the plain as i passed them.

Hhahaha,that was so funny,everytime we got close to take a picture the kingy just towed you away from us!!At one time there was a wake behind the duck!

What was the water temperature...? and what do you think was the reason that the Jacks, cuberra's and threadfins was so active during that time...?

Hi SMBF!!The sea was quite cold,recon all the fish came into the river to warm up.So you had the whole Kwanza basins fish in a small area,good and bad at the same time,good for us,but bad for the fish.The locals also figured it out after a while and started to put nets,troll etc for them.Were having a very weird season here,still no rain????

Beach fishing for snappers and cob up North,and also some insane smaller snapper fishing in the rivers on surface lures!!

Damn....moooi fish boet; we have to do this trip togeather some time. The threadfin in the pic with Wayne is a freaking monster!

Now that's a whole story on its own. Will mayne give the adventure later.

We got those fish while we where fishing for the tarpon. Just had some good luck I suppose.
