Renamo Mozambique

Hi Guys.
iv planned and Paid for a two week holiday in Bilene Mozambique from the 21ste of December 2013 up to the 4th of January 2014.
This is a trip Ive been waiting for,for a long time!
What do you guys make of the recent reports of Remano Rebels and the possibility of a Cival war?
Do I keep to my dream,or do you recomend I start looking for a safer place to take my Wife and Mother to?

Bilene is GREAT this time of year. I think your main concern will be the HEAT and mozzies.I say go and enjoy.

there's been some trouble but good news its all north of the sauve river so you should be good to go

what about vilanculous? is it not too close to Save?

Isolated incidents north of the Save River only. Most incidents in Gorongosa and Nampula. Vilanculos perfectly safe (other than petty crime). "Imminent civil war" exists only in newspaper headlines right now.

Look at it this way: 54 murders each day in SA. Less than 25 killed in Renamo activity over the last 18 months. Draw your own conclusion...
