Let's get something straight here.
Most of us on this forum are here as anglers prepared to share our experience and knowledge and to learn from others. We do not use the forum to make money or promote our businesses.
You came into this thread to promote the products you sell, and as such, should have the knowledge to answer any technical questions raised about your products.
I think the questions I have raised are reasonable and should be informative to others trying to decide which marine electronics to buy.
You have failed to answer them. You phoned me yesterday, accused me of giving you "a hard time" on this forum, and hung up on me when I asked you to answer just one of my questions as posted over the phone.
You may be the only Lowrance agent on our forum - but not the only one in South Africa.
As far as I know none of the GPS/Sounder suppliers have workshops or offer training of sorts. John Easton AKA Fishton does offer lessons for which he charges and he dishes out free tutorials here on Sealine. However, bear in mind he is not employed by Lowrance and his core business is training. Supplying units damn close to cost I might add is just another service he offers.Hi guys,
i to seem to be in the dark with how to use my DSI to it's full potential but reading through various post it's clear that in order to get the best possible info you need to cough up.
i'm a sales rep and when consumers buy our products and have a problem using them we assist where we can with out handing out bank details. We also have a monthly get together where any one is welcome to join us and ask questions face to face and we give demonstration with out handing out bank details.
All of this cost time and effort yet we do it for free cause we know that in return the "students" will buy our product again in future, should it be directly from us or one of our distributors.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not bad mouthing anyone here but aftersales service other than replacing damaged units free of charge would be greatly appreciated.
