Heya Guys

The first of many to come match report from our monthly competitions

The day started out nicely with a soft south easter blowing and on our way to the Engen Garage on the N2 the bits of the ocean we could see looked very promising with not to bigger swell as forecasted.
Pulling up to the garage we were greeted by Jacques bakkie which is heavily sticker bombed bearing each and every sponsors sticker available parked right in front of the garage lol. After the meet and greet and we were pleasantly surprised to see a couple of Gauteng GT members as well as co owner Mike and beautiful wife Rene with some of their Southern Cape Great White contenders, this brought our total for the day to 39 seniors, 2 ladies and 3 juniors. We all grabbed breakfast and immediately after registration everyone shot off in different directions in search of each and every bite they could possibly get.
Despite the nice colour in the water, the sea conditions were rather horrible everywhere we went, and we practically drove from sunrise circle to bikini beach but with all the kelp in the water it really made for crappy conditions to find fish. I recall my partner telling me he thinks he wore his wife’s polka dot shades #cantdeal

At the weigh in, we all rocked up at the Engen garage once again, tired and frustrated were the look of many an angler, as not much was caught throughout. We happened to receive a scorecard full of the different lengths of bits of kelp a individual angler caught. However, some cards had fish on and these are the prize winners listed below
