Hi guys
What a tough competition we had Saturday with weather conditions being perfect for a change but the sea was up to
no good with kelp congregating in dozens everywhere we went. However despite this we as a franchise managed to make
headway by possibly securing yet another Ford Ranger key.
The morning get together by the 42 contestants was short and sweet, where some interesting points were raised a
quick cup of coffee and everyone darted off to their respective spots.
WP Bronzies possibly managed to secure its 2nd key for the Ford Ranger by member Ashley Campher with a Raggered
Tooth shark measuring 222cm weighing 214kgs , well done lad...
Another major milestone to consider is our little fishing maestro Wikus Van Merwe who for the 1st time ever in the
western cape managed to land 7 species for one competition, lekker outjie
We also narrowly missed the 3rd key with a bus Bronzy 5 mins before lines up time who took the angler a couple of
times into his braid backing and eventually managing to elude the angler, next time bud
The results of the comp listed below
Biggest Edible - Mike Bailey - cob 1.8kg
Biggest Ray - Wikus VD Merwe - Blueray 12.8kg
Biggest Shark - Ashley Campher - Raggered Tooth Shark 214kg
Most Points - Mike Bailey
2nd Most Points - Wikus VD Merwe
3rd Most Points - Derik Niewoudt
