And thats that, was a wonderfull day even though it was a bit cold and not the most productive, was also nice to have met some fellow sealiners, and spend the day traversing this promising body of water..

So thanks to J  and LGF for the great day..

Hope we can do it again some time soon..!

Yeah for the largest part of the day it was really very CARP, but the late afternoon made the entire day worth it, ditto MarvelousMark, was nice meeting you, J I've met before and was again very nice fishing with him again, and that monster of a fish almost snapped your line @ point::S, No seriously a fish is a fish especially in Winter, so congrats on not blanking bud (that's important second only to having fun)

Will post my cell-pics as soon as I can find the USB cable, damn dog......:fbash

Thanx Southpaw, yeah thsoe are some of the swimbaits I make.

And no I use them as I didn't intend on taking them with as it was a little cold for the buggers to chase down fast moving baits, they just ended up getting slapped onto the ducky when I unpacked the gear.

Bud I'll try and post some pics of them still this week (in the DIY lure section) as I'm busy making a couple to take with for the next two day social (Bass-Lake winter social) that is planned for Sat and Sun this week, which reminds me, I need to phone the venue on thursday.

Last time i was there (April 2010) they broke into my bakkie and took my shoes, some cd's and recovery gear.

That was after the guard said 'no problem'..

Thanx Jake, yes I know I was supposed to post pics but the truth is, I got distracted a bit with three new lures, a kreature bait (frog with nuclear deformities = 8 legs::S, a smaller version of the bigger swimbaits that I started out with and a floating bird = redbreasted finch, oh and I finally made a decent mold for the huge grub), just got out the weasel worx now, making the molds for the weights for two of the new swimbaits. Kay so later today I promise to take pics of the new and the old (Bigger versions) baits and post them in the DIY Lure section, will also post them here.
