Normal bankangling, how often do u reel in and rebait if no fish has ben taken ?. . .
I'm fishing two rod's. . . Should i change the one more regularly and keep the other in the water longer etc. . .

Eg: change the bait on the one rod every half hour and the other every hour?

Sorry, can not help, I know nothing about karps.

But why do you not try 4 rods, then you can change every 15min.

If I do not get a bit in 10 minutes, I get the crew to pull the anchor and seek another bank.

Hi JJ,

I am no expert but I usually change every 20 to 30 minutes if there is no activity on my rods. I try different combinations of baits and dips until there is activity on any of the two rod. Once I found the winning formula I leave the rods in for a little longer, max 45 minutes. Somtimes if you have the correct formula, you wont have to wait at all, the fish will bite non stop. Also, since you have two rods, try different combinations on both rods before you find the winning formula. Once you have found whats working, load both rods with the same combinations. But remember, the winning combination might not work all day and all night, than you need to start at the top again with different combinations.

There are many guys who might have different techniques but this works for me. Maybe some of the senior guys can advise you a bit more.

Thanks bud.

I would say it depends on the venue and what size fish you are targeting. Is it a comp or just social? Getting feed in on the same spot would be a good way to get the fish into the swim. You might need to change the distance rather than the dip to locate the fish. But if you are onto the fish, make sure to cast in the same spot every time. What you can also do if its social fishing is use baits like mielies and be a bit more patient espesially during winter and you shouls pick up nice fish. But it all depends on the stuff mentioned in the start.

hiers iets om aan te dink

die hengelaar langs jou begin vis optel elke 10 min. jou tempo is so elke 30 min.
