I happen to have one.

Not sure if I would sell it though.
If they discontinued....DONT!

If I cant find one then Ill have to look at the 40-100-430 SS BM or T53 400/3 BM to replace it.  T53 400/3 would probably be the closest match and my first choice.

Looking for the 13'6" HMG Lite ?
Most certainly, you have any leads?
I'm figuring that mine is probably more a 4-4.5 oz rod, than the 5 oz plus bait I prefer to standardize on, so I might sell it and try and build a 5oz specific rod in around 13'6" from what I get for it - rod is as new and has seen very little action apart from casting on the field - tend to use my 11 and 12 ft rods all the time ???

Will first have to get my head around it and a mate in Polokwane, was also making eyes at it...

Well Cuban, you know me and my specifics, mine never sees anything more than a 4 oz and nothing less than a 4oz. You know my feelings about this rod.

If you do decide to sell , ill be the first in line! Take as long as you need to decide, ill window shop around in the meantime and see whats out there. Ive just never really had a rod as well balanced for that specific fishing that i do as those rods.

BTW, I have now paired the BG35H to that combo, the 16A has become my new yellowtail winch!!.....but it can only be a poseidon to fit into that combo.;)

Jip, that 16A will cast the metal like a little robot now, since you had it magged and the BG 35 is even faster on the retrieve (48 vs 46inch per crank), so if you need to cast over a shallow reef to reach the sandbank, you will have no problem to get sinker and hook up onto the surface and over the reef for rebaiting !

Bet you will go same route with the BG 35 soon ! ;)

Will let you know if I find the right blank to build a 5 oz plus bait, dedicated substituteto my liking and I decide to pull the trigger - that is if friend Danie375 in Polokwane, does not cash in on his option !

Cheers !

Poseidon was their own range of rods as are the Saltist and Saltiga's

What I'm saying is it's the same rod with new Livery

BG 35 Done already!

All my reels done!! You should print little stickers for the side plates that read " This reel has been fitted with Mag-It - Use with no caution at all!"

As a late development, I came across a 40-100-430 on the classifieds section being sold by Ulua, very good price that i could not resist, thought long and hard about it, just to show you how pedantic i can be, I figured the Bg35 is slightly bigger in build than the 16A, so would be a bit out of "spec" and balance for the Poseidon in my books. Thought it might better suit the BM. So its a done deal and will move out of my comfort zone just this once!....:)

The 40-100-430 is one of the blanks I'm considering, seeing that most anglers cast the SuperSlim rsnge, with 1oz up from std rating, when using compact/streamline baits for steenies.

Would not like to go longer than 13'6"-13'8" max, as the same weight sinker feel heavier and heavier, for every extra inch in rod length.

It feels as if I can load a rod best, when not over 13'8" and get better distance with them, than with 14footers.

Knowing you, you are going to rebuild the rod ? ;)

Rebuild? Of course! I have already been working on a layout for the rod....::rofl: was thinking a straight LC guide system could be nice!

They not bad rods , I had the 50 and was definately eager for more than a 5 oz. That's my only concern, the 40 will love a 5 oz more but I thought the 30 might be a bit too soft . Really solid and light rods. Balance is one of my things I really try to have 100%. The Bg 35 will balance very well with the 40 I believe. Belive it or not, I also prefer the shorter rods. The T53 400/3 is probably the equivalent I would imagine in terms of length, also lovely rods, but only come in 1 piece. However I'm sure the SS in 400 will be better for you.

Just sold my poseidon to one of my close buddies. Got myself the Sensation oval rugged 4-7 ounce. Looks extremely beautiful and feels solid. Cant wait to test her.
