GT Slayer desperately needed a Popping rod and I couldn't be assured that the 80 Korean PE6 and PE8 that I have ordered would be manufactured and shipped to RSA in time so he sourced the

80 Nano Black Hole -"Cape Cod" Special, blank from www.JignPop.com

Thing of beauty and a monster of a rod.

Many ideas were bandied about and this was the end result:

He wanted a cross bind, I suggested marbeling but I then went with a bind

Being that it is going to be fished with a Stella 18000 with 80lbs tackle I went with a D thread under bind and triple bind on first 3 guides followed by a double bind on following guides with some gold inlays (Still to be burnished)

It's currently on the bench getting the first soaking of thread before re-coating of epoxy

They going to Moz in August and will surely post the results.

Must say the finished and epoxied rod looks way awesome

My batches of GT Turbulence PE 6 and 88 blanks have arrived and are being cleared through Customs
