polarized sunnies

Hiya Guys,

I purchased a pair of Bourbon polarised sunglasses last year and was so impressed that I recently took a stand and 40 pairs to sell in the TTD.

They come in a variety of styles and look and feel far more expensive than the R195 price tag.

The rate at which many of us fishermen go though sunglasses I recon it a good idea to buy a cheaper quality pair than spend R1000's on a name brand?

Heck at this price you can afford a balck, grey and yellow lens pairs and still have change for some tackle?

I do agree, you only have one pair of eyes, look after them guys!
If you spend a lot on a pair, trust me you will look after them.

Costa Costa Costa buddy! Look at most of the fishing, tagging oceanagraphic shows on TV, they all wear Costa del mar for a reason!

Go and look at their website, fit a few different specs and make up your mind!

It is like the Costa del mar add says:"even stevie wonder can see fish with Costa del mar" lol

Guys, think about it, how much do you spend on your fishing tackle? tens of thousands of Rands for most of us... and if one element fails, the worst that happens usually is a lost fish....

 

Eye wear that fails you could result in something alot worse than a lost fish... protect your eyes.... if you are one of those people who thinks " I won't buy expensive sunnies cause I always loose them" why not just buy a pair of those sunglasses keepers.... costs you R 30 bucks or less, and you'll never lose the sunnies...

Also, if you are like me, you not only wear your sunnies for fishing, but eall day everyday ( whenever you are outside ) and having good quality sunnies protects your eyes all day... less eye fatigue, less headaches = Happier person...

Cheep sunglasses seem fine, but they dont really protect your eyes. My advice, get yourself a decent pair and look after them... For R1000 i'm sure you'll find something decent.

I have two pairs of oakleys,Honestly havent regretted a second... the one is going on 10 years now and the other probably 3... I've bought cheep ones(up to R300) in between. I tend to where them once and donate them to freinds.

Had my oakleys bout 6years now ,love them

One thing though nobodys eyes r the same and diff makes will give diff results
When I still fished bass we used to test each others glasses out and where quite amazed at the diff results

At the moment if got oakley's but they're not polaroid, so i wane get some polaroids for fishing.. I also believe get something decent and protect your eyes..

I like the costa's and some in the oakley range, but the misses is still hesitating to get me one of those....

Who stocks costa's in SA?

I bought my Costa's from Angling Africa in Centurion, if you want to chat to them speak to Lappies and tell him Francois said you will give him a good price

I dont know my head from my a$$ when it comes to sunglasses, but I do really like the look of the Howler's. Are they meant for offshore? Is there a better fit for me( as I predominantly fish R&S, and would therefore like to get a pair suited to it)

I dont know my head from my a$$ when it comes to sunglasses, but I do really like the look of the Howler's. Are they meant for offshore? Is there a better fit for me( as I predominantly fish R&S, and would therefore like to get a pair suited to it)

We only do R&S fishing bud. I'm sure it is meant for both...
Blue mirrors is mostly for blue water.

In the pic, I'm in the middle with my howlers on and to my right is one of my buddies with his blackfins on...

I have a pair of Costas which have been the best buy I have ever made. They are the Fisch range with the 580 lens made famous by Chris Fischer of the Go Fisch/Offshore Adventures. They are so scratch resistant, I have had them for nearly a year and they don'y have one scratch yet! (Touch wood)

I have tried everything and there is no better glasses that you can get than the blue lense of BondiBlu!
