Im not a pro when it comes to dropshotting berkley plastics but ive caught a lot of saltwater fish with carolina rigged zoom flukes and tubes (Unflavoured bass fishing plastics). I call my method spinning. These fish were gamefish(Garrick and shad) so I guess that they didnt even consider the smell of the bait before they attacked but was only interested in the bait because of the movement.
When it comes to fishing on a slow retrieve the smell of the plastic becomes important..
As the berkley products are so expensive, I think that its a good idea to flavour them yourself. Flavours such as anchovie oil, crab or prawn flavour..
The freshwater guys fish with lots of flavours that doesnt even represent any natural fish food. But they do have success.
Why not try Flavouring your own bass plastics and use them in the sea?
Maybe we find that garrick cant resist a banana flavoured fish imitation!!
