Plastic ring on Rod stand

My idea for a plastic ring on the rod stand.
Got these 50mm pole caps. Fit on the inside.

Use this drill bit to cut out the center

watter size angle used?
I use 30x30x3mm

yours is much shorter, why so short?

ours is at least 1,8 meters in length.
need to get over the waves which keeps on crashing onto the line!!!!

We sell what we call a sprocket adapter. Fits straight into a 50,8X1.5mm tube. Would it work for you guys?

Hi Bennie, I forced a piece of white PVC tube into the stainless tube. Fits very tightly. One can make the pvc tube stick out the top of the stainless tube about 20mm and then heat that part and flair it over slightly.

I also used 30x30x3.

Mine is 1.5m. This way it goes straight in the back of my double cab with a canopy. When we are a couple of club guys and the canopy is full it fits better this way.

The golden one on the pic is my old one that I bought, so these are longer at least.

so 1,5meters is enough?

at st lucia we have some guys who have 2,4 meter poles "aluminum" about 40mm dia, maybe 45mm
they then have a inner pipe, that just fits into the pipe.

so the first is planted into the ground.
rod is set and then the 2nd pipe is moved out upwards.
giving them a 4,5 meter reach if not longer.


works lekker when you need the line over the first breakers, especially when some grass is around.


when you have a back bite, the whole system collapses with the upper pole. so easy detection.

but when mr king comes by, you need your power to get the top pole down....as they do not stop running....so constant pressure
