Penn Fierce vs Okuma Ceymar

Hi All,

I am looking for a small spinning reel.

I have seen the older Penn Fierce 1 2000 model and Okuma Ceymar. I need to find out which is better of the two. I see the Okuma has more bearings etc, but I would like to get the opinion of someone that owns one ?

Hi Kingfisher,

Not too sure about the penn but, I use a ceymar 25 and 40 they have a very smooth retrieve and is light , only drawback I feel is that the body's strength is limited but is ok for general fresh water applications.

ek sal gaan met penn fierce had one for two years fully metal body will last a lifetime
