Non Return slide

What tipe of slide do one use, the non-return slide with the weight or without.

depends, the weight helps by sliding down your line faster, so i use it when im sliding bigger baits, the weightless one, i prefer when im sliding a shy live bait ie mullet, shad and karras i use the live bait clip.

I also did some research and exactly as you said, from the beach with not much of an angle, you use the one with the weight and where there is a good angle you dont need a weight. But still it is personal choice.

ya, just try both and see which one you prefer for the area you are fishing.

If you are fishing for sharks and rays MAKE sure you use the HEAVY DUTY non-returns with the bead.

The standard small non returns tend to bend which CAN cause burn offs....

Yes, the normal one without the bead bend relatively easy, I had some bend beyond re-use after not even a big shark.

imagine this slide didnt have a bead and a power swivel...
